Pilates is a form of exercise designed to create
strength & flexibility. The resistence of the springs used on pilates equipment helps to develop long lean muscles and will not lead to "bulking up." Pilates is an excellent way to build better posture and correct muscular imbalances.
Kelly Bowker has been teaching movement
for more than ten years and pilates since 2007. After becoming certified through Pilates Academy International she continued to deepen her understanding through Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries as well as becoming a Prenatal and Postpartum Specialist through the Center for Womens Fitness.
Two years teaching in a chiropractic office has given Kelly lots of experience with clients rehabilitating injuries and battling chronic pain. Kelly has also worked with athletes and dancers and enjoys helping clients find a program that works for their individual fitness needs. Kelly is constantly trying to expand her own pilates knowledge through continuing education workshops, classes and her own personal practice.
